Modern Ayurvedic’s know their tea. When we say tea we don’t necessarily mean tea from a bag. Herbal infusions are the simplest and most cost-effective form of Ayurvedic medicine, and our go-to for bringing the doshas into balance.
What is Ayurvedic tea good for? Everything. You can refer to the table below for some inspiration and highlights, or read more on our favourite combinations below.
Ayurvedic Tea Recipe
Quantity of seeds or fresh grated root
- ½ tsp per mug
- 1 tsp per teapot (2 person)
- 2 tsp per litre
Submerge seeds in boil bottle, leave for 5 minutes and strain. Drink immediately, or keep the herbal infusion warm in a thermal bottle. For larger volumes you can also boil seeds in water on the stove top.
With a basic understanding of the Ayurvedic energetics and properties of simple culinary spices, you too can tailor your own herbal infusion. Here is your quick guide (scroll for our best ofs). And please always use organic spices, Modern Ayurvedics.
